Performs tax preparation, tax research and tax planning with close supervision. Contacts clients to resolve minor tax matters. Performs tax planning under close supervision; may be assigned Tax in-charge responsibilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Responsible for federal and state income tax compliance, research and planning
• Provides support for tax compliance for all sales, excise, property, use, business privilege, spill, hazardous substance and other taxes pertinent to the operations of BCS

• Assist in the quarterly and year-end tax provision calculation including FAS 109 and FAS 5 adjustments
• Maintains facilitation schedules in support of quarterly estimated tax payments

• Identifies and implements improvements of internal tax compliance processes and software
• Interact with other financial branch personnel

| Requirements: |
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or related field required or equivalent education and experience
• 4 to 6 years of federal and state income tax experience
• International tax planning experience
• Large corporation or Big 4 tax department experience
• Experience in preparing tax provision calculations including FAS 109 calculations
• Sarbanes-Oxley 404 experience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
•The monthly close for all BCS entities ensuring a standardized process with timely and accurate results
•Working with the commercial functions to establish appropriate accruals, reconciliations, allocation schemes and granularity for necessary internal reporting.
•Generate monthly consolidated financial statements
•Manages the general ledger, reconciliation of intercompany accounts, fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, company credit cards, expense reporting, transfer pricing policies, etc..
•Develop, implement and maintain/update internal control policies and procedures and ensure adherence to
•Manage the relationship with the outside audit firm ensuring GAAP compliance and a “clean” annual assurance audit
•Work closely with the tax advisors to ensure an optimized tax structure, correct Member distributions and Member account balances, sales/use and other tax compliance.
•Manage the treasury function including hedging strategies, the bank relationship, amendment/waiver negotiation, bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, compliance certificates, etc..
•Property and casualty insurance
•Process Improvement Leader: continuously improve core accounting processes developing metrics to measure performance
•Provide effective financial controls for the organization
•Special projects as assigned from time to time by the CFO or CEO

| Requirements: |
•CPA required with public/private mix experience
•15 - 20 years of progressive Financial, Accounting, and Budgeting experience
•Cross functional capability to reach into the organization globally
•Strong management/leadership skills
•Experience working in a multi-national company and familiarity with distribution business a plus
•Background in Public Accounting
•Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley in a public company
•Management experience of at least a 10 person organization
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Critical thinking skills and a team oriented attitude a must
•Can effectively implement performance measurements

The Position – This sales-lead generation role is an entry level position within the Mini-Bulk Sales organization. • Assist in the National Account Program as needed.

• Assist with daily reports and special projects for Sales Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS degree.
• 1 to 3 years of Customer Service or Sales experience.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Advanced software skills with spreadsheets/Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize on an on going basis.
• Innate desire to succeed and grow.
• Highly motivated – someone with a track record of success.
• A technical background would be helpful, but more importantly, the ability to learn quickly.
