BCS achieves T.C.I.R. milestone!

BCS congratulates the employees of our North American operations.  On November 18, 2009, they achieved one million hours worked without an OSHA Recordable Injury.  BCS’ Total Case Incidence Rate (T.C.I.R.), which OSHA uses to compare safety performance among companies and industries was 0.27 in 2008 and is currently 0.00 as of December 31, 2009.  The national T.C.I.R. average for the Chemicals and Allied Products Industry is 2.6 (equivalent to over two OSHA recordable injuries per 200,000 hours worked by employees).
